Your New Role:
Join a steel distributor organization-based in Chicago Heights, IL, as a 2nd Shift Foreman/Supervisor. You will play a vital role in their team, performing various duties, including managing all warehouse activities. You will participate and lead safety training and be willing to get certified in CPR, AED, BBP, etc. Other responsibilities will be supervising the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of merchandise or materials. Also ensure that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
Your Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the steel industry or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must be proficient at dual hoist overhead remote-control cranes.
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Typically reports to a senior manager.
