Hiring Opportunity: Wadsworth, Ohio
Our client is looking to bring on an Extruder Operator to their 2nd Shift. In this role, you will be responsible to operate extruders in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.
Essential Functions:
- Operates extruder at the highest level achievable to make a quality product.
- Operate and perform job duties in the safest manner possible. Reports and corrects all unsafe conditions.
- Achieves productivity metrics while making 100% grade A material.
- Sets up machine and all auxiliary equipment to prepare for upcoming runs.
- Operates tow motors to load feeders and move material.
- Operator understands nomenclature and is able to identify assorted materials.
- Operator is able to work well with others and conducts himself as a team player assisting fellow co-workers as needed.
- Set up all feeders/machine to set up sheet (lbs. per hour / per extruder capability)
- Monitor and document profiles which include temps, extruder, screw speeds, feed rates, proper and materials
- Provide lab with needed samples.
- Ensure proper machine maintenance and use.
- Report and correct irregularities in processes which include machine functioning, product quality, and input
- Ensure proper packaging and temperatures per process setup sheet and schedule
- Prevent product contamination
- Keep downtime to a minimum
- Ensure good housekeeping and safe operations. Prepare next shift for success through boxes and liners set up.
- Assist fellow co-workers with runs, materials, set up, changeovers.
- Assist as requested in material prep.
- Assist maintenance personnel as requested enabling the least amount of down time on the machine.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately load feeders and run extruders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Demonstrate ability to trouble shoot extruder when processing problems arise.
- Demonstrate ability to keep area clean and free from any safety hazards.
- Demonstrate ability to complete changeovers in optimum timeframe.
- Demonstrate ability to follow all procedures for calibrating and operating
Physical Demands:
- Stand on concrete floor 8 or more consecutive hours.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing stairs

- Ability to orally communicate with others.
Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or working on GED
- Writing and recording data
- Legible handwriting skills
- Ability to enter details into computer without error
