2nd Shift! 3pm to 11pm
Electrical Mechanical Specialist
Develop skills to succeed in the Electrical Mechanical Specialist job grade for Ball Manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work independently and with trainer for a period to not exceed 36 months on all facets of the EMT responsibilities.
- Responsible for performing entry level troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing complex equipment.
- Assist in modifications to existing machinery and equipment to facilitate new production techniques and or improved equipment reliability.
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Effectively work with others within the team environment to achieve team goals.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and Team Leaders. Perform all additional duties as assigned by Team Leader.
- Learn to independently test, calibrate, and repair electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to establish standards, and assist in formulating calibrating standards.
- Work with Engineering to design, select, modify, and/or adapt equipment or procedures to specific project requirements.
- Attend job specific training sessions and classes as appropriate.
- Goals agreed upon between academic program and Team Leader.
- Perform a wide variety of non-routine, troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electrical/electronic , hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled production equipment.
- Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, materials and parts transactions) on computerized Maintenance system.
Requirements
- High school diploma, vocational training preferred.
- Electro/Mechanical focused preferred.
- Must have own trade tools. Training may occur in multiple locations.
- Experience with AC/DC circuits & motors, Introduction to PLC's and working knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Instrumentation & controls experience desirable.
