Safety Cable Assembly – 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Type of Position: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Reports To: Safety Cable Assembly Manager
Department: Safety Cable Assembly
Job Summary:
To assemble finished product using sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners according to customer specification and company policies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling
- Set and assemble small, large hand tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with direct supervision
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- On-site attendance is required
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures
- Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum of 1 year experience in Assembly or Manufacturing environment
· Ability to interpret blueprints preferred
