FUNCTION:
Primary responsibilities are to assist the PRESS OPerator by setting up materials and supplies. The ideal candidates are quality conscious, detail oriented, self-motiviated, reliable and team players.
Essential Duties:
- Know and observe all safety rules
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and other personnel
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Follow all standard procedures
- Change paper rolls in a timely manner
- Check ink supply at start of shift
- Check tanks and ensure pumps and refrigeration is operational
- Keep press chemical supplies full
- Stage for next job and check schedule regularly
- Assist with hanging plates and changing blankes
- Assist in ensuring samples are pulled, inspected and initialed
- Assist if varifying press counts and accuracy
- Help keep are clean during down time
- Elevate problems and concerns to operator
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Quality conscious and production oriented
- Ability to think critically to solve problems
- Able to read and interpret written and verbal direction
- Ability to perform simple math
- Familiar with computer and applicable software
- Good with people
High School graduate
2-5 years in a high volume environment
