Position Summary: This position will provide direct support for all plant equipment and the completion of preventative maintenance needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery when scheduled.
- Repair equipment based on work order priority and applicable skill level.
- Mechanical Experience: Ability to determine machine problems, make general repairs, assist others when needed, and suggest improvement when opportunities are identified.
- Electrical Experience: General understanding of some form of electrical controls that will be built upon through on-the-job training.
- General understanding of hydraulic and/or pneumatic controls that will be built upon through on-the-job training.
- Will learn CNC & PLC controls, furnace and electronic controls.
- Will gain knowledge of installation, maintenance and repair, on equipment and facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical prints and operation sheets.
- Gain knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standards.
- Develop exceptional safety records and promote good safety practices.
- Detailed oriented, professional attitude, reliable and must be a self-starter.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Maintain records on Maintenance 5000.
- Interface with all departments and levels of management.
- Assist others with duties as needed and directed.
Qualifications:
Special Licenses and/or Certificates: Forklift license (AG Class)
Education and/or Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent
Computer Skills: Must be comfortable with Microsoft email.
Other Skills and Qualifications: Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
