About the Program and Hours
- HM Program averages 43 pt encounters per day
- HM Physicians average 16-18 pt encounters per day
- Average of 4 admissions at night
- Open ICU with 24/7 tele-intensivist coverage
- ICU level pts consult Tele-Intensivists
- Hospitalist not required to do procedures but is preferred: central line, intubation, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, etc.
- Responds to RRT/Code
- CODE Team runs the Codes, but Physician responds to CODE/code.
- 24-hour Physician Shifts (24 hours/day)
- 12-hour APP Shifts (12 hours/day)
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
- Candidate Must be IM of FM residency trained and boarded
- FM trained/boarded must have prior HM experience
- Active ACLS
