MISSION:

WHO YOU ARE:
The Dance Teacher will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance.
Do you have what it takes?
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- A New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in Dance.
THE ROLE:
- Plans, prepares, and presents lessons.
- Uses curricular texts and assessments, instructional materials, and instructional technology appropriately.
- Modifies instructional plans to meet the needs of all dance students.
- Provides and maintains a professional studio and performance atmosphere for dance education.
- Monitors use and care of instructional equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Keeps attendance and grade records as required.
- Prepares, administers, and adjudicates student assessments and portfolios.
- Counsels students when academic and other dance education issues arise.
- Communicate with parents and students regarding progress or problems.
- Participates in parent-teacher or teacher-student conferences as necessary.
- Actively participates in school and staff activities.
- Provides input regarding the dance education instructional process.
- Participates in dance education professional development.
- Keeps current on dance trends, research, and pedagogy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Salary range: BA $61,912 - $86,912 / MA 62,412 - 87,412
- Term of Employment: 10.5 Months
