SUMMARY
Staff in this position coordinates the "Journey of Learning "and applied behavior analysis concepts within the CMH day program sites and the community. Staff will be responsible to coordinate all phases of program scheduling and including, but not limited to the following: will assist with an "interest" survey of individuals to meet their personal Skill Building needs, assist with the planning and development of schedule of classes and resources needed, assist in the coordination of transportation for individuals served. This staff will be responsible for updating the individual's schedule based upon individual and PCP team requests. Staff must be able to utilize a computer, including programs such as word processing, desktop publishing, and spreadsheet programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Be available to assist with routine program needs; including CW, JTI, ABA staffing coverage as needed.
  • Prepare and present staff schedules weekly.
  • Assists in the identification of individuals' needs and strengths, wishes and desires, training, and treatment outcomes.
  • Develops and distributes materials, schedules, and distributes to appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates enrollment procedures.
  • Assists with procuring materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for program staff and/or community teachers to instruct their class.
  • Assists with planning program events such as but not limited to: May Ball, plays, Christmas Parties, People First Activities, ABA outings, kids camp, etc.
  • Oversees/monitors medications administered to individuals served.
  • Consults with program supervisor, professional staff, peers, and caregivers regarding courses and/or individual's interests.
  • Provides care, assistance, supervision, and transportation for individuals as needed or assigned, and is responsible to assure individuals health and safety.
  • Is prepared to administer CPR, First Aid, and approved physical intervention techniques when needed.
  • Staff will fulfill the role of the medication coordinator and the responsibilities related to this role.
  • Track IPOS training for technical staff.
  • Works with other staff and supervisors within a cooperative team approach to achieve and improve individuals and program outcomes/performance.
  • Assists in meeting quality assurance standards for programs and agency.
  • Participates in in-service training sessions and other staff development activities.
  • Implements agency and program health and safety policies and practices.
  • Demonstrates understanding of a compliance with agency and program policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the oversight of the People First program.
  • Participates in committees and work teams as requested or assigned.
  • ABA weekly schedule/schedule board/phone/ messages to parents daily for schedule
  • Sanilac Transportation coordination/ car wash coordination for ABA vehicles
  • Schedule updates to parents/school (letters go out each month for changes or updates)
  • Assist in planning outings/coordinate with ABA staff about trainings.
  • Assist with Kids first program?
  • Assist with training technicians in behavior management techniques.
  • Assist with purchase requests for ABA materials as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Has met Sanilac County Community Mental Health Authority Criteria for a Mental Health Technician
  • RBT training with a competency score of 80% or above.
  • 40-hour Experience in training others in behavior management and service delivery
  • Time management skills that allow multiple projects to be occurring at the same time
  • Communication skills both written and verbal that are professional and understandable to the general public.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a productive manner.
  • Knowledge of Teams
  • Has experience preparing and facilitating group activities and outings.
  • Has the ability to take a leadership role and form good working relationships with staff, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Has the ability to coordinate myriad instructors, sites, schedules, and training materials for effective services.
  • Has demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing a group training program.

Has demonstrated competency in implementing policies related to the administering of prescribed medication to individuals served.
  • Has a working knowledge of computer software such as Word and Excel.
  • Has the ability to obtain or assemble appropriate curriculum material for scheduled classes.
  • Has the ability or experience in identifying or developing community resources.
  • Has adequate awareness and ability to implement the concept and practical implications of person-centered planning in the program, work, and community environment.
  • Relates effectively with supervisors, professional staff, and peers as well as the community and employers at large.
  • Demonstrates an attitude of responsibility, dependability, competence, and safety consciousness; and can model this to individuals in the program, work, and community environments.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software. A typing speed of 45 wpm is recommended.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Michigan Chauffeurs' License, CPR, First Aid, and DCH Certification within three months of hire. Hi-Lo operation, and Quick Book training within three months of hire.
