Our internship program is tailored to full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America. Internships are temporary full-time paid positions and typically run from May through August.
This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.
Under close supervision, works alongside the Communications team in the development and creation of content for the company's Social Media platforms. This work includes, but is not limited to:
- Bringing new ideas to the team, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment
- Assisting in planning, creating and implementing the company's Social Media strategies across Freeport's Social Media platforms
- Editing and writing social content supportive of the company's priorities and aligns with the brand
- Creating visual graphics to support company's Social Media messaging
- Using data to identify insights and Social Media trends
- Assisting in developing regular reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of the company's Social Media program
- Collaborating across organization to identify Social Media content
- Monitoring and analyzing competitor Social Media channels
- Monitoring and reporting daily on owned channel activity
- Performing other duties as required
- Following all safety procedures and rules applicable to working conditions
Minimum Requirements:
- Full-time student pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, public relations, mass communications, marketing or related field; OR
- Recent college graduate having graduated within 12 months prior to internship start date with a degree in journalism, public relations, mass communication, marketing, or related field
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong understanding of the Social Media space, the social communities, conversations and trends
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- Good interpersonal skills
Criteria/Conditions:
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to excel in a remote work environment
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities to leverage Social Media channels
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $18.00 - $23.40/hour. Individual pay rates will be based on level of education and relevant experience.
