Internship Position Outline:The US HEOR, Value & Evidence Generation Intern will engage in a research project to support one or more of our marketed assets in rare disease. The project will likely be a targeted literature review and include: development/refinement of the research question(s), proposed methodology, conduct of research, analysis and synthesis of findings, and report/discussion of results to the cross-functional team. The intern will understand why the research is being conducted and how the results will be applied to asset development. They will participate in cross-functional meetings, collaborations between medical and commercial teams, and between US and global partners. During the internship, opportunities will exist to better understand the role of medical affairs and health Economics and Outcomes Research in post-launch drug commercialization phase from a US perspective and to explore careers in medical affairs. Interns will gain the opportunity to develop a global mindset to thrive in a diverse work environment.
How you will contribute:- Search and evaluate literature, understanding of research methods/research design, statistical analysis/interpretation, ability to develop a scientific presentation, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Contribute to real-world observational study hypothesis conceptualization, study design, analytics using statistical methods, and develop presentation slide deck
- Creative problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in teams, effectively manage projects, and present ideas clearly and concisely
- Deadline-driven with a high level of organizational and planning skills
- This is a position for Masters/MPH or PhD students with an academic concentration in biostatistics, health economics, epidemiology, health services research or related subjects.
- Passion for using data and analytics to conduct real-world outcome research to solve business problems with strong analytical, communication skills and project management experiences.
- Experience and interest in applying machine learning techniques in real-world evidence studies would be preferred
- Be proactive and have a growing mind set and capabilities to learn new skills fast
- Strong oral written communication skills
- Returning to university for at least one semester post-internship
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), within the core business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
- It’s required that interns are based in Massachusetts with reasonable commute to Cambridge to receive an enriching experience

The hourly pay rate range is $20.00 per hour - $46.00 per hour. The final pay rate offered for this internship may consider several factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
