JOB SUMMARY:
The summer internships are designed to provide High School students long-term exposure to a specific career path at Textron Aviation. Interns will take part in meaningful business-driven work that creates a pipeline, connecting foundational knowledge with future career goals.
JOB DESCRIPTION BY ROLE:
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position will be responsible for the following based on role.
Communications
Support copy and media content development for internal communications channels
Customer Service
Organize and assist parts database entry and review shipping methods
Engineering
STEM education preferred, support engineers in performing complex lab procedures, reviewing technical reports and gain experience in CATIA programming
Finance
Support and assist accounting department and data entry
Flight Operations
Support pilots and dispatchers in day-to-day operations and coordination
Human Resources
Support business recruitment, employee relations and compensation efforts
Information Technology
Support software and database development and analytics
Manufacturing
Observe machine operations and work from instructions to operate CNC router, furniture building equipment and hand tools. Learn blueprint reading, basic sheet metal, basic machine training
Military
Support and assist program development and defense customer deliveries
Marketing
Support graphic design, project management and campaign efforts across the business
Sales
Support and assist with customer engagement and partnership management
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Project-based work focused on needs of your area of the business
Data entry, documentation, and record updating
Group work through coordination with other departments
Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a current High School student 16-19 years old
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience navigating web applications/internet search
Excellent note taking and organizational skills
Detail oriented

Excellent verbal and written communication
Willingness to learn
