ABOUT THE ROLE
Tribeca’s Festival Communications team is looking for creative, hardworking individuals who have a strong interest in film publicity for the 2024 Tribeca Festival. Seasonal Publicists are the point of contact for film/creator publicists and are responsible for equipping them with the information, materials, and support they need to have a successful festival experience.
ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidates will be creative, hardworking individuals with strong interest in entertainment publicity—including film, TV, podcasts, music, and more. Previous experience in entertainment and/or film PR is required. Candidates must be able to work in the US and on-site in New York City.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary PR liaison for film and/or creator PR teams for assigned categories including, but not limited to: features, shorts, TV, music, and podcasts
- Work closely with the Communications team and PR agency on festival strategy, pitching, and outreach
- Collaborate with the Artist Relations team to track and update contact information for filmmakers/creators and ensure that participants have a positive festival experience
- Input and manage relevant project information into the Festival database
- Create targeted media lists for special interest categories and regional outreach
- Secure press coverage for Festival programming and creators
- Draft press materials
- Coordinate media interviews
- Track press and social media coverage
- Staff press events (red carpets, press lines, screenings, etc.) and serve as PR contact for film and/or creator teams
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3-5 years of entertainment and/or film PR experience required; film festival and live event experience a plus
- Strong media and industry relationships
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work extended hours during the Festival (June 5 - 16, 2024)
SALARY: $1,000 - $1,300/week
