~This position has a minimum age requirement of 18 years or old~

This position incumbent is responsible for the preparation of high-quality meals in accordance with HFE and Kentucky Kingdom standards, menu specifications, and production schedules. They will also be responsible for overseeing kitchen helpers in the preparation of meals, while meeting safety requirements. Will be working closely with the Park Chef and will provide support at the kitchen(s) upon the Park Chefs request. Experienced kitchen production leader with proven ability to lead a team that produces upscale food at high volume levels.  


Job Responsibilities  

  • Compliant with the park-wide hygiene standards. 
  • Follow all day dot and food labeling procedures.  
  • Ensure all products are presented to guests in a visually appealing and appetizing manner. 
  • Follow and enforce all recipe standards. 
  • Follow proper portion control requirements per each recipe. 
  • Ensure food prep areas and storage areas are compliant with the health department standards, exceeding SteriTech standards. 
  • Perform other duties, such as operating equipment to perform job duties, maintaining proper sanitation, assisting with scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc. 
  • Assure physical cleanliness of all BOH operations. Ensures all staff practices "clean as you go" techniques. 
  • Ensure all BOH staff complete their daily side work. 
  • Ensure unit is organized and maintained in a sanitary manner; ensure proper cleaning schedules are followed 
  • Available/willing to work at various locations on park.  
  • Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening 
  • Experience with scheduling and payroll/time keeping software preferred 
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and a working knowledge of Excel.

  1. Non-slip shoes

  5. Hair must be kept pulled back in a hat or hairnet  
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined 
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information
