Start your career by joining our User Experience Design teams (UX/UI Design & UX Research) to learn, grow, and contribute to JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s portfolio of work. You will be mentored by UX design practitioners to create dynamic visual solutions, research the needs of our users, and drive design thinking on matters that add value to our business and have real-life impact on our customers.
Our Design Development Program (DDP) is a 2-year Full Time program centered around supporting new UX talent by providing a welcoming and diverse environment to learn and grow in the financial technology space. You will contribute to meaningful projects, develop your business acumen, and make fulfilling connections with our team members. The Design Development Program is aimed at creating a pipeline of talent to fill associate-level roles upon completion of the program.

What to expect by joining the program?
JPMorgan Chase is looking for highly motivated User Experience Designers and User Experience Researchers who will be part of multi-disciplinary teams committed to designing the future of banking through researching and designing useful, usable, and desirable products for our customers, clients and employees.
Our DDP Analysts will focus on ideation, interaction design, prototyping, and delivery of final designs. They also find opportunities to participate throughout user-centered design processes and should have a desire to continually broaden and improve their skills.
Joining our Design Development Program means you will be provided:
- Start the full-time program alongside a cohort of peers on July 15th, 2024 with induction training that teaches you about our businesses, builds on your knowledge of Design Development methodologies, and sharpens your professional and technical skills.

Design Development Program Placements:
- Experience Designers conceptualize, structure, and detail our offerings (services, products, and features) within the context of a broader user journey.
- Experience Researchers develop plans and conducts research to identify the wants, needs, and abilities of customers and end users, and translate those insights into recommendations for everything from experience strategies to detailed product design.

What You’ll Do
- Design and re-design product experiences under the guidance and direction of Experience Leads
- In partnership with UX Researchers and Lead Designers, participate in user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users
- Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, landing on elegant, and even unexpected, solutions that satisfy requirements
- Diagram the interactivity of the product, including user flows and wireframes
- Detail design, built upon our Design System, that brings our solutions to life
- Begin incorporating Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
- Present work, and articulate design decisions, to Design Leads and your specific Product Team

Required Qualifications we are looking for include:
- Digital Portfolio demonstrating the ability to think from the perspective of the user, including the ability to communicate the following stages for Experience Design, Experience Research: Problem, Ideation, Testing, Solution, Impact and Reflection

Key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:
- 0-2 years of UX experience from various backgrounds.
- We are seeking those who have obtained their foundational technology background in non-traditional ways including, but not limited to, technology bootcamps, workforce Development Programs and community colleges with completion dates between January 2022- January 2024.
- Follow through on commitments, executing quality work within expected time frames
- Awareness of, and some experience with, user-centered design approaches
- Demonstrated proficiency in Interaction Design, as well as Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture
- Exposure to user-centered design practices
- Early development in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping
- Developing understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices.
- Foundational communication and presentation skills, including articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
