The Role:
The Moderna Research Co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree in biology/life science. We are seeking a talented and motivated student to be part of the Antibody Discovery Research within the Immunology, Infectious Disease Department. The Co-op will work with members of Infectious Disease Research group on the discovery and development of Moderna’s bio-immunotherapy candidates against a wide range of disease targets. You will help with experimental design and execution, data collection, and analysis, with a major focus on basic laboratory research. You will work under the supervision of an experienced Moderna team member and have opportunities for cross-team collaboration, networking, and mentorship. Successful candidates will be interested in working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
Provide scientific and technical support for multidisciplinary project team, with a focus on immunological assays including, but not limited to, ELISA, Luminex, Octet, flow cytometry, cell culture, etc.
Help manage multiple experiments/projects and interact with supporting functions.
Effectively communicate project goals, timelines, progress, and results across functional groups within the Moderna ecosystem, collaborators and CROs.
Manage organization of data and inventory of laboratory reagents to support ongoing experiments.
Participate in the interpretation and presentation of experimental data at group meetings and project meetings.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or advanced degree program in biology or a related life science.
Previous experience in a basic research laboratory is required.
Some understanding of Immunology is a plus.
Curious in exploring new discoveries, bold in trying new ideas, willing to work collectively, and relentless in pursuing successful outcomes.
Self-motivated and possess the desire to drive a project to completion. Flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Organized and able to think critically. Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving.
