Bethel School District is seeking appropriately licensed candidates for a 1.0 FTE CTE Automotive andTransportation Technology Program Teacher at Willamette High School for the 2024-25 School Year. Willamette High School houses one of the leading Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Oregon.
Willamette offers a significant number of courses including Digital Arts, Design/Manufacturing and Construction, Industry and Engineering, Multimedia Arts, Culinary Arts, Health Occupations, Digital Manufacturing and Robotics, Business, Early Childhood Education, Computer Science and Fine Arts. Students earn college credit for CTE coursework that is articulated through Lane Community College. These credits are transferable to two and four-year colleges and universities.
Willamette's Automotive Shop is a two-bay, 2,500 square-foot building adjacent to the CTE courtyard and the newly-built WHS CTE Center. It includes a 40-seat computer lab, multiple storage closets, and office space. There is significant investment in tools and equipment, from tire-alignment and rotation equipment to multiple lifts.
A new instructor would be asked to lead short and long-term updates to the course programming and equipment to modernize the skills and knowledge for students. A cover letter is required with your application. Your cover letter should address the following.
