Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced High-Level Math Teacher to join our team at Point Arena High School located on the beautiful Mendocino Coast of California. As a High-Level Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to our students and helping them excel in their mathematical abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the high-level math curriculum.
2. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
3. Utilize various teaching methods and resources to effectively convey complex mathematical concepts.
4. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall math program and student achievement.
6. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in math education to continually improve teaching practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching credential in Mathematics
- Proven experience teaching high-level math courses (AP, IB, honors, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of advanced math concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Negative TB Test
-Valid CPR License
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
