2023/2024: Virtual K-12 SPED Teacher in Allentown, PA

We are currently looking to hire on a full-time virtual Special Education Teacher (SPED) to work the 2023/2024 school year with K-12th special education students in the Allentown, PA area.

The hired SPED teacher will have the potential to extend into the summer semester if there are available spots, and/or into the following school year.
Please note: Any virtual candidates must be licensed in both the state of their current permanent residence, as well as the state of the job you are applying for.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Master's Degree or Doctoral degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs (preferred)
• Active and valid Pennsylvania licensure/certification in Special Education
• Prior experience working with K-12th grade students
• Prior experience in a self-contained classroom and working with mild/moderate/severe disabilities
• Case management experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri, normal school hours
• Fulltime 30 to 37.5 hours per week, minimum & maximum guaranteed
• No overtime
• No paid holidays or school breaks
