Primary responsibilities may include the following:
- Provide support on matters in various fields of law with attorney or senior paralegal supervision.
- Prepare, format, and edit various business agreements, letters, and corporate documents.
- Provide administrative support by conducting research and preparing reports.
- Gather, compile and verify information and enter it accurately into documents, reports, presentations, forms, spreadsheets, databases, and/or enterprise systems.
- Assist attorneys or senior paralegals with day-to-day operation of contract management system and/or file share system.
- Support governance functions including meeting organization, preparation of materials, and documentation.
- Support compliance projects as needed through research of applicable laws, organizing, compiling and supporting meetings and stakeholder interviews.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and enrollment in an ABA-accredited paralegal certificate program;
- Completed fifty percent (50%) of the paralegal certificate program course work at the start of the summer internship program;
- Proven ability to work well with others and to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions, copes effectively with complexity and change;
- Strong organizational skills; and
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in automotive, communications, green energy, and technology;
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
- Comfortable learning and using legal technology and databases; and
- Strong interest in working for a corporate law firm or in a corporate environment.
