SCC High School Program Youth Advisory Council
We acknowledge the youth in SCC's programs as experts in their communities. High school is a complex social atmosphere to navigate, and each youth crew member has not only an expert level knowledge of the politics and group dynamics of the community, but a unique perspective to offer on it. SCC believes that this insider knowledge is valuable and should be used to informing future programming. The Youth Advisory Council will provide continued professional development opportunities: students will gain hands-on experience in networking, problem solving, public speaking, and recruitment efforts, as well as an introductory knowledge of non-profit operations. The YAC will meet 2 times a month (as needed) and will work on independent projects as well.
