Previous high school coaching experience is recommended. The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program and will be responsible for a sub-varsity team.

- A strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Skilled in organization, time management and a commitment to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program.
- A great understanding of the training, skill development and coaching techniques involved in high school tennis.
- The ability to communicate coaching philosophy to younger athletes
- The ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the sport of tennis throughout the community
