A labeling Machine Operator is a professional who manages the daily operations of a machine that adds labels to products.
They complete all traceable paperwork, follow safety standards, and ensure that the machines are functioning properly.
They also input information on a computer system, read the production schedule, and match components being used to components called for on the production order.
They replenish packaging supplies, communicate concerns from the production floor to various departments, and clean the production area to maintain a clean working environment.
They also troubleshoot equipment issues to meet productivity standards, and follow standardized company general manufacturing procedures (GMP) throughout their shift. They attach identification labels to finished packaged items, adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, temperature, dimensions, and flow of material or ingredient, and follow health and safety procedures.
