MTFSA offers insurance programs with large national carriers for health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. The company pays 90% of the Employee Only health coverage and generous percentages for other coverage levels. Portions of the premiums for dental and vision are also employer paid. Additionally, MTFSA pays for $50K in life insurance at no cost to you. MTFSA offers a 401K program with employer match of $.50 on a $1.00 up to 4%.

MTFSA has 13 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday for use at your discretion. Your paid time begins accruing day one! You can accrue 80 hours the first year with increases in future years.

Position Description:

As a 1st Party Collection Representative, you will handle collections inquiries via the telephone and/or e-mail. You will be responsible for discussing sensitive financial situations, educating customers, and maintaining customer profiles by updating the accounts accurately and completely. You will also be responsible for having knowledge of company policies and procedures. Collections will be your primary function, but it may include minimal promotion of products or services. We practice a customer-friendly, solution-based collection approach. This is not an aggressive or hard collections position.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Make contact with customers to address outstanding balances and resolve delinquent accounts.
  • Responsible for discussing sensitive financial situations and educating customers on the available payment options in a professional manner.
  • Promptly answer, analyze, and process customer requests and inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Set up repayment plans according to the customers’ ability to pay and the company policies.
  • Systematic documentation of all daily collection activities is required.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint and/or request; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Recommend potential products or services to management by analyzing customer needs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing set goals, performance, having a positive attitude, and participate in improvements for the company.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the collections department.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of performance with the ability to achieve personal and team goals.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • At least one year of call center, customer service, or sales experience
  • Ability to adapt to an environment that is constantly changing
  • Possess excellent computer skills with exceptional typing skills for data entry
  • Seeks to exceed expectations of the company and customers
  • Ability to listen carefully
  • Speak in a professional manner that is clear in order to communicate effectively with the customer
  • Can multi-task with advanced problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a good attendance record

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position requires interaction with people and technology and requires the employee to sit for long periods of time in an office setting. The majority of the work day requires the ability to communicate on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation. This position does not require lifting and the work is indoors, away from the elements.
