Job Summary: Substitute teachers are responsible for providing instruction and managing classroom environments in absence of the regular staff. Substitute teachers are required to perform all of the regular staff duties for whom they are substituting for. Substitute teachers usually report to the principal at the location to which they are assigned.
Qualifications: You must submit an online application, complete an OSBI fingerprint background clearance check and attend a 20-21 Training Session (dates/times/ type of training TBD). You must be at least 21 years of age to substitute at Deer Creek High School.
Working Conditions: Normal classroom environment.

Selection Procedure: Once your application has been submitted and a fingerprint, background clearance check has been done, you will be contacted and asked to attend an upcoming substitute training. As of right now, we aren't sure if these trainings will be in person or done over Zoom.
The Background Check form should be attached. Please print and either go to the Oliver Hodge Building (directions attached) once it opens OR make an appointment at a Sattelite Site, which during the Covid-19 pandemic, is the prefferred way due to the State Department of Education being closed to the public.
