Job Summary:

Ridge Corporation is seeking experienced Machine Operators for full-time employment positions.  These are long term opportunities ideally for candidates in search of immediate career growth and advancement.  It is helpful for candidates to have previous experience in the following industries: manufacturing, production, construction, landscaping, etc.  However, previous experience in such industries are not required and we provide on the job training as well.  The position will be working directly with other members of the production team as well as the safety, quality and engineering teams.  

Schedule:

Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am

Pay Rate: $19.84/hr (Includes 15% Shift Differential)
Location: Pataskala, OH

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Machine operator and/or machine maintenance experience
2. Ability to learn and follow work instructions
3. Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards
4. Monitor and troubleshoot machines and processes by checking running conditions such as speed of output, pressure, temperatures, wind and unwind tensions to ensure quality and production goals are met
5. Plan, organize and actively participate in activities such as change-over procedures, instructing material handlers to provide needed materials, recording tags and labels for production rolls/orders while machine is running.
6. Assist with data entry and management through ERP system
7. Perform Quality Inspections and make appropriate decisions with input or advice from the supervisor regarding line speed, quality of product adjustments and machine maintenance.
8. Meet / Exceed production standards
9. Excellent time management and communication skills
10. Ability to work both independently and with a team
11. Self-Motivated
12. Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures
13. Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology
14. Makes recommendations to continually improve processes
15. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma / GED preferred
2. Proven commitment to quality complaince and productivity
3. Two years of job related experience required, including Machine Operator / maintenance
4. Ability to identify thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns
5. Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
6. Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
7. Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
8. Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure
9. Ability to be self-motivated
