GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the NUR- Nursing department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Assist students in the classroom, clinical areas, and campus labs to acquire knowledge, psychomotor skills, and affective skills necessary in preparation for taking the national licensure examinations and practicing as a beginning staff nurse
- Provide classroom-laboratory instruction-evaluation, clinical supervision; and evaluation-preparation in curriculum development-evaluation
- Participate in student recruitment, advising, and retention
- Maintain accurate and timely student, course, and personal employment records
- Responsible for identifying appropriate clinical sites and maintaining professional relationships with clinical agencies
- Participate in college-division-department committees and-or teams
- Maintain competence through continuous professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must possess the skills of a Registered Nurse (R.N), possess a Master's degree or higher in Nursing, hold a current, unencumbered, active RN license in South Carolina or another compact state, have had at least two years of clinical experience and have been actively involved in providing direct nursing care in within the past 5 years. Responsible for own transportation necessary to meet job duties which will include travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate can teach, supervise and evaluate nursing students in Medical- Surgical clinical and didactic settings. The candidate has excellent interpersonal skills that support effective collaboration with professional colleagues, students, and community partners. The candidate has previous experience in academic nursing education.
