Under the direction of the OBGYN Administrative Director and guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, the Registered Dietician provides care to OB patients at the Perinatal Medicine Specialties practice, UCSF Department of Women's Health. S/he plays a critical role in the patient experience including optimizing clinic support for patients and working collaboratively with the team to create a patient-centered environment. Assignments at this level include delivering direct clinical care and program support, reviewing blood glucose log reviews as well as providing medical justifications for authorizations. They consistently project a professional and courteous demeanor.
This position involves providing nutritional care to patients in various disease states and conditions. Monitors assesses, and optimizes nutrition status based on current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy. Confers with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medical and nutritional needs. Educates patients on how to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Required Qualifications
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Licensed Registered Dietician in the State of California
- Experience working with Obstetric patient population.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical dietetics experience beyond completion of clinical training.
Preferred Qualifications
- CDE certification
License/Certification
- Registered Dietician in the State of California
