DIA Invision Health is seeking full time and part time X-Ray Technologists

DIA Invision Health is a full-service, outpatient radiology and imaging center serving Buffalo and the entire Western New York region since 1984. We are seeking a highly motivated, eager professional Xray Technologists to perform a wide variety of technical procedures

The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of working independently as well as with a team. The full-time position candidate will be eligible for benefits including; all major Holidays off, PTO, 401K, and health insurance options.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares room and patient per order
• Perform all procedures, CR and DR x-ray procedures, Bone Density
• Assists Interventional Radiology procedures under CARM guidance
• Properly sets up equipment, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high quality image.
• Observes each patient’s status and interprets the appropriate information needed such as medical history, symptoms and explanation of procedures with associated documentation
• Maintains/restocks appropriate supplies in XR and CARM rooms and maintains a list of things to be ordered
• Produces a diagnostic, high quality image for interpretation by the Radiologist
• Handles all radiologic equipment safely and properly
• Safely transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices as necessary
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping in EMR and by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
• Communicates effectively with Radiologists.
• Completes and bills for studies accurately and in a timely fashion
• Helps fellow technologists when not busy with XR/CARM specific duties
• The responsibilities above are representative of necessary qualifications to perform this position. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Skills:

• Operates standard imaging equipment including but not limited to:
  • XRAY & CARM Equipment
  • PC Computer
  • PACS/RIS/EMR Computer

Qualifications:

• AAS - Associate of Applied Science - Radiologic Technology or graduate of an approved ARRT Certification program in Radiologic Technology required.
• NYS licensure and ARRT certification
• New graduates encouraged to apply
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, pull and twist for an extended period of time
• Knowledge of applicable patient positioning and technique selections for modality
• Lifting objects as required.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form
• Ability to work flexible hours, additional hours as needed
