Business Insurance Account Manager, Executive Liability & Cyber Practice (XLP)

The BI Account Manager is a member of the Executive Liability, & Cyber Practice (XLP) team, which provides sales support, account marketing and related client support services ensuring the needs of Executive Liability, & Cyber clients are successfully achieved. This individual is responsible for working directly to support members of the XLP team including Account Executives and VP, SVP and EVP Client Executives (as necessary) and Producers and service teams to provide excellent customer service. This includes the ability to manage workload by processing daily service tasks at a high level of proficiency, on an ongoing basis, performing essential functions such as submission preparation, cursory renewal comparisons, negotiating coverage and pricing, and preparing proposals according to agency standards and workflows; assuring correct information to achieve the quality and service standards developed by the agency. Additional projects and administrative tasks will be required in support to both the Practice Leader as well as the team overall.

We will count on you to:
  • Manages or assists in the marketing and negotiation of new and renewal accounts. For smaller, less complex insureds oversees the marketing process, renewal and new business process for Executive, Professional and Cyber Liability for private and non-profit insureds.
  • Reviewing applications for completeness and following up with Producer/Account Manager to obtain necessary information.
  • Sending applications to Carriers in accordance with company procedures.
  • Receiving and reviewing renewal and new business quotes from carriers, comparing coverages and forms at a cursory level; and negotiating coverages with underwriters with oversight by senior members of the XLP team or by relying on MMA vetted / approved solutions.
  • Prepares proposals.
  • Binds Coverage with carriers as needed.
  • Works closely with MMA Southeast divisions to provide quality consultation services and serve as a resource to Producers and Account Managers.
  • Receives phone calls from clients and production teams and responds to the request.
  • Maintains proper level of communication and builds effective relationships with Producers, account teams and carrier partners (underwriters and marketing).
  • Gains confidence and proficiency in handling a wide variety of internal, client and prospect-facing interactions.
  • Keeps up to date on market trends, issues and enhancements relative to Executive, Professional and Cyber Liability coverages.
  • Participates occasionally in seminars and other training to broaden knowledge of Executive, Professional and Cyber Liability specialty insurance products.
  • Demonstrates capability to Communicate and interact with all levels of management, employees, carriers and clients and prospects.
  • Builds proficiency with Marsh and third party legal, analytic and benchmarking tools.


What you need to have:
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or similar field of study preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as demonstrated emotional intelligence; take initiative; be solution focused and be a change agent for the organization.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and basic math.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have resident Agents License in Property Casualty or obtain within 90 days of employment
