The Wynright Automation Execution team successfully delivers highly automated Material Handling Systems. These systems take advantage of Daifuku Wynright's industry leading technologies to meet and often exceed our customers business objectives. Team members will work with systems including multiple types of material handling automation (ASRS, Shuttle, STV, Robotics, Conveyor, AGV, AMR, etc.), Software (WCS, WES, SCADA, OMS, Etc.), Structures, Storage, Selections, and various engineering disciplines. The Automation Execution team seamlessly integrates the work of multiple execution disciplines to achieve outstanding results.
The Software Project Manager of Automation Execution will be responsible for leading software developers and any tasks related to the software development life cycle (SDLC) for automated and/or large material handling projects involving a wide variety of equipment, machines, software, controls, and technologies. As a Software Project Manager, you'll manage the planning, definition, and execution of all integration activities, delivering automated systems on time, and within budget that fully capture the potential of Daifuku Wynright's equipment to meet client expectations.
Responsibilities- Plans, coordinates and drives all aspects of SDLC, including, but not limited to, development, QA, and software consultancy
- Delivers projects based on project schedules, manipulating or creating additional timelines using Microsoft Project
- Delivers project based on strict budget and owns all software financials
- Facilitate discussion on network, server architecture, and IT infrastructure
- Keeps complete records of change requests, action items, open-point lists, issues and risk monitoring logs
- Coordinates resources from multiple teams and drives onsite commissioning disciplines to ensure delivery of design solution
- Manages relationships and contracts with multiple clients, partners and vendors
- Travels to escalated customer sites, drive solutions to long-standing issues that have reduced throughput, and gains customer confidence in solution
- Engages when necessary in product development and other disciplines outside of the normal software/SDLC scope
- Travels as required

- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, or equivalent experience
- Experience in the material handling industry, distribution centers, or warehouse automation preferred
- Knowledge of material handling, warehouse management systems (WMS), fulfillment or distribution center operations, and supply chain logistics
- Knowledge of version control coordination
- Knowledge of automation projects involving machines, robotics, controls, and software
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of different software process ideologies (Agile vs Waterfall)
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
