Overview
The Workforce Planning Analyst is key contributor to the ongoing development and implementation of Workforce Planning efforts. This role will analyze data and complete assessments to support the workforce strategies that align with organizational objectives as determined by the director and program manager of Workforce Planning.
The Workforce Planning Analyst is a credible and thoughtful team player who collaborates with others in HR and the organization to streamline processes that will assist in solving complex problems and support ongoing initiatives. The Analyst is an intrinsic component of the HR team's drive to use data and analytics skills to provide insights to influence informed workforce decisions by leadership.
This is primarily a remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work at home, on the road or in a satellite location for all or part of their workweek. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.
Responsibilities
  1. Provides data and analysis to assist the Workforce Planning program manager with of evolving and maturing system-wide Workforce Planning processes and capabilities aligned to organizational needs; monitors progress against the execution of workforce plans and helps to ensure that plans are aligned with organizational values and priorities.
  2. Maintains ongoing Workforce Planning reports and creates new reports as the needs arise from the organization at the direction of the Director and Program Manager
  3. Supports the strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of workforce plans for system-wide leadership in, including the preparation and delivery of regular and ad hoc reports and analysis.
  4. Provides advanced analysis of workforce data and metrics to deliver insights that support actionable strategic workforce plans.
  5. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of current and future organizational needs through needs assessments, surveys, focus groups and meetings, and develops recommendations to meet strategic goals.
  6. Applies organizational knowledge, business unit understanding and labor market knowledge to develop and guide Workforce Planning actions.
  7. Supports the design and interpretation of ongoing Workforce Planning metrics for Human Resources and the organization.
  8. Provides excellent customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are respectful to all.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Information Systems, Applied Research or related field, or 4 years of equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Experience:
2 years of analytics experience in such areas as HR analytics, HR business partner/consultant, business operations planning and strategy, or finance, with preference given to work experience in workforce or strategic planning, human capital strategy, human capital or business consulting, workforce analytics, change management, organizational design/effectiveness, or integrated talent management.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical thinker able to work independently and collaboratively to conduct assessment and recommend strategic Workforce Planning activities
  • Able to understand, analyze and interpret complex data sets from multiple sources and provide comprehensive reports and assessments to HR and organizational leaders
  • Able to conduct surveys, and support program design, components and objectives with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating input/needs assessments. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with preparing and analyzing reports and other data, and with working with colleagues to understand and apply the report content.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills; ability to build working relationships with leaders, employees and stakeholders.
  • Consistent track record of delivering on-time, high quality results.
  • Works well with details, multiple tasks and complexity, and stays mindful of the big picture.
  • Knowledge of and experience in HR business intelligence practices, trends and approaches
  • Strong technology and analytical skills; experience using Talent Acquisition Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Infor-Lawson or other HRIS, and PowerBI preferred.

Licensure
HR certification preferred (SHRM or PHR/SPHR).
