Window Fabricator

Fabricator skills and qualifications:

Technical skills and the ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks, such as assembly and bending often.

Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery, including computers, tools, collaborative machines, and other devices.

The ability to see colors.

Physical strength to lift heavy products, tools, and components.

Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate and assemble very large and some extremely small components.  

Fabricator duties and responsibilities:    A fabricator should have a preference for practical work environments and hands-on problem-solving.

 This job is suited for someone who has physical endurance and dexterity to handle some heavy product and manipulate various components.

 Read detailed schematics for some complex assembly.

Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product.

Align components and connect them with bolts and or screws.

Work well with collaborative employees (cobots) to produce and assemble components.

Find faulty components in defective products to fix them.

Fabricator experience requirements:

Looking for a candidate having previous experience in fabrication or assembly. However, this might not always be necessary if you can show that you have the right qualifications and skills to do the job correctly, such as those listed in the paragraph above.

As with any job, showing that you have the willingness to learn will go a long way if you apply for the position without a lot of past prior experience to show.

Hourly wage will depend on experience.
