The Wellbeing and Performance Coach is responsible for enhancing the employee experience and sense of wellbeing through coaching and training initiatives, fostering a culture of recognition with a focus on employee wellbeing.
Essential Functions
- Embedded within the Behavioral Health division, works with leaders and staff to identify areas to improve wellbeing (health, wellness, motivation, performance, experience).
- Develops plan of action to address opportunities for performance growth and development.
- Coaches staff and leaders just-in-time to support goals and create actionable next steps.
- Evaluates training needs to ensure on-going continuing development in the areas of wellbeing, health/wellness, and overcoming performance barriers.
- Serves as an instructor in the Relias Learning Management system with consistent application and use of course registration, tracking, and evaluation of training
- Collaborate with BH Leaders to understand critical employee interactions to develop solutions to mitigate pain points and improve the employee experience
- Partners with Manager, Employee Experience to implement Agency-wide employee engagement/experience surveys and focus groups to assess and develop initiatives and programs for recognition, wellbeing, and training
- Provides staff feedback to HR and Manager, Employee experience on desired wellness offerings and identifies additional needs and options
- Supports the implementation and ongoing Stay Conversation process to ensure BH staff have the opportunity to participate. Initiates actions to enhance retention and recruitment, Wellbeing and clinical development based on data and feedback.
- Works with BH leadership to identify process improvement opportunities to improve the employee experience and wellbeing
- Builds and maintains relationships across BH in order to facilitate open dialogue about the employee experience. This will include visits at Behavioral Health locations and participation in BH meetings.
- Conducts initial assessments to understand the staff needs, strengths, challenges, and preferences
- Developing personalized wellness and performance plans that align with staff goals
- Provide coaching sessions that motivate, inspire, and empower the staff to act and make positive changes
Requirements and Skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based coaching methods and techniques
- Skills in communication, listening, empathy, rapport-building, goal-setting, problem-solving, and feedback-giving
- Understanding of change management principles
- Knowledge and use of process improvement methodologies
- Self-starter who is intellectually curious and innovativeto positively impact employees' experience and wellbeing
- Demonstrates a "people first" mentality when interacting with all colleagues and has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- A passion for helping others achieve their potential
- Experience as a trainer both in the classroom (live) as well as virtual instructor strongly preferred
- Ability to work with a diverse population representing different learning and work styles and needs
- MS Office, Teams and Zoom proficiency
- Must be located within a reasonable distance to be able to travel to Child Center locations for onsite training events and meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in field of psychology, health education, coaching, or counseling; masters strongly preferred.
- A certification or credential from a reputable coaching organization, such as the International Coach Federation (ICF), the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), or the International Association of Wellness Professionals (IAWP) or achieved within an agreed upon period of time
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the areas of health & wellness, employee engagement, process improvement
- Experience working in a Behavioral Health or clinical environment strongly preferred

- Min Hiring Rate $85,000.00
- Max Hiring Rate $95,000.00
