Warehouse Supervisor
$65,000 to $70,000 per year
Portland, OR
3rd Shift
This position requires an individual who is able to work in a busy environment, possesses solid math skills, is detailed and team oriented. The Warehouse Supervisor must also enforce Safety rules and written procedures and have an ability to coach and train people on a continuous basis. The employee also incorporates the use of all technologies and equipment provided to efficiently manage the workload and his/her subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor:
- Oversees all internal warehouse functions as it pertains to Dock activity.
- Picking Receiving Shipping Verifies all dock activity; including the shipping and receiving of raw ingredients and sales orders.
- Assures all inventory is maintained within agreed upon guidelines and is real time verifiable within the system.
- Oversees Dock personnel, all practices and procedures.
- Responsible for the establishment, implementation and follow through of a development program for one’s staff.
- Increasing positional knowledge, performance efficiencies and future company growth.
- Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly as applicable.
- Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food Safety policies.
- Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
- Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
- If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA, State and Local Safety codes.
- Perform monthly departmental Safety Audits Conduct required departmental Safety meetings and trainings.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of receiving and stocking of raw materials.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of picking and distribution of work order raw materials, as well as outgoing finished product.
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing trucking details.
- Verifies all shipping documents are complete with 100% accuracy, and in a timely manner.
- Create and utilize departmental Performance Reports (KPI’s).
- Communicate and hold staff accountable for applicable results.
Education and/or Experience: - Self-Motivated.
- Advanced Dependability.
- High School degree.
- 2 years: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
