Job summary:

The Warehouse Operations Manager will initiate and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse flow, drive operation efficiency and improve productivities through lean, standardization, technology, and automation. He/She will need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform duties that drive customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive a warehouse management strategy focused on operational excellence
  • Institute global warehouse best practices and create global standard work practices, policies, procedures
  • Continuous Improvement Focus - Each warehouse operation from receiving, through production and to shipping
  • Assess and implement global warehouse network optimizations: locations, management, spend, etc. aligned with global manufacturing strategy
  • Lead engagement of global warehouse team
  • Ensure compliance with global cycle count and inventory accuracy policies, procedures
  • Develop a global standard approach on consumables management through collaboration with warehouse supervisors, value stream and supply chain leaders
  • Evaluate additional automation options for productivity and efficiency improvements
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution projects and initiatives
  • Establish packaging and labeling standards
  • Maintain documentation and accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Determine and monitor resource load to ensure labor is adequate to meet current and future demand
  • Oversee performance of global team through closely monitored KPIs. Instill a sense of urgency and drive accountability and ownership.
  • Improve Key Performance Indicators of the Warehouse operations (ex: Inventory Accuracy, On-time GR, GI and Quality Notes).
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development to global warehouse leaders
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new warehouse leadership


Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management and/or Supply Chain Management or relevant business degree; APICS CLTD, CSCP, and/or CPIM certification preferred

Skills and Experience:
  • 10 + years in a global warehousing and logistics environment
  • Managing multiple warehouse locations in a global organization
  • Hands on role implementing processes & facilitating training
  • Proven cross functional communication & effective change management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvements, reduce cost & eliminate waste
  • Top applicants are dedicated, competent, experienced and have strong leadership skills with experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel (domestics/international) up to 25%
