Warehouse Associate

Miller Brother Staffing in York, PA has the immediate need of A Warehouse Associate in the ETTERS AREA!

SHIFT: 1st shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides shipping / receiving and warehousing services assuring quality service, customer satisfaction and complete compliance with C-TPAT security. Also provides materials and process supplies to all production areas, managing supply orders, material usage and inventories. Other duties may be assigned.

Basic summary/ needed must be able to use a computer (computer skills) and ability to band and wrap pallets.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

• Determines freight carriers in order to provide the best method of shipping to foreign and domestic countries.
• Determines the need for any Export documentation, NAFTA certificates, Shippers Export Declaration (SED), Harmonized Tariff Codes and Export Licensing Classifications.
• Assists in resolving foreign shipping problems in order to enable foreign shipments to reach the customer without problem or additional expense.
• Calculates weights, size dimensions, and dollar value of foreign and domestic shipments to prepare product for shipment.
• Prioritizes foreign shipment requests to meet business objectives.
• Enters data from source documents to ERP system in order to create invoices, Pre-Shippers, Shippers, cycle count records, PO receipts, inventory location transfers, etc.
• Verifies shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Logs and files shipping and receiving documents.
• Maintains good housekeeping and safety.
• Assigns product to customer orders, reconciles all incoming problems with Customer Service Representative and / or Import Planning Group
• Orders area supplies.
• Communicates to FCI personnel through electronic mail system.
• Material control portion of position is defined as follows/ listed below:

• Operates equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet trucks, order pickers, etc. to move material.
• Verifies incoming and outgoing product to ensure proper count.
• Verifies and counts product to ensure proper inventories.
• Visualize products/parts/packaging, etc. to ensure specifications and standards are met.
• Labels parts, products, packages, etc. to provide information.
• Stores parts, products, packages, etc. to maximize space and provide availability.
• Loads and ships parts, products, materials, etc. to move to customer/vendor.
• Operates stretch wrap, bander, air stapler, etc. to properly secure product.
• Provides tracking data and tracks orders to identify location.
• Receives packages, products, supplies to store and distribute items as needed.
• Packages product and parts etc. to prepare for shipment.
• Prepares boxes, skids, reels, etc. to be used for internal/external use.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENT'S

• Must be fully vaccinated prior to start.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50-pounds in compliance with all OSHA and FCI safety policies.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an advanced, current knowledge of Inventory software, Manufacturing software and Order processing systems. Computer experiences mandatory.
• Current Certification in Forklift operation preferred. Will also require re certification with FCI.
• High school diploma or GED required; and at least one-year current experience in this field.

PHYSICAL DEMAND'S

• Some of the physical demands for the position include being able to lift a weight of 35 pounds, sometimes up to 50lbs; frequent bending, stooping, and stretching; being able to stand for prolonged periods of time; and ability to walk for prolonged period of time.
• Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software, Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
• Forklift Training preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
