Warehouse Assistant
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for filling inventory, shipping and receiving and fabrication duties to help in keeping warehouse mechanics and drivers on task. This position will require loading and unloading trucks, cleaning shop and office areas, making local deliveries and pick ups and fabricating.
Job Duties
- Pick up parts from vendors as needed
- Fabricate and repair fluid end tooling and welding
- Stock and restock inventory
- Retrieve parts from stock and deliver them to the mechanic and/or work site
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory count
- Maintain a neat and orderly parts shelf and area
- Perform upkeep and maintenance duties, such as cleaning shop, picking up tool, sweeping floors, emptying trash cans and other housekeeping tasks
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Be customer service driven with internal customers and third parties by telephone, email, mail or in person and meet deadlines
- Take initiative and work independently during downtown
- Experience and ability to operate heavy equipment and/ or vehicles
Additional Requirements
- 2-3 years of welding/ fabrication experience
- Prior inventory management experience
- Must have valid state-issued drivers licensed
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, MVR and physical ability test
Additional Details
This position requires work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating hours conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
Compensation
- Wage Range Starting at: $15.00/hr based on qualifications & experience
Schedule
· Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
