2nd Shift - Warehouse Assistant Supervisor - Manufacturing/Food Production
Assists with the supervision of a shift of warehouse operations and activities including receiving, storage, and distribution of all items for a multi-shift operation, received either from internal departments or external resources/suppliers. Ensures that parts and supplies are distributed to proper departments in a safe and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and assigns daily work of warehouse personnel while ensuring their ability to do so in a safe manner.
- Assists in developing group leader personnel.
- Monitors the unloading of all materials into the Warehouse Department and ensures that materials are staged for counting and inspection.
- Ensures receiving reports accurately report material received and resolves discrepancies with Accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Monitors the flow of paperwork from Warehouse to Inventory Control for timely data entry.
- Ensures that Forklift drivers' movement of materials is executed safely and efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to bend, squat, and maneuver to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds with a hoist, pallet-jack or cart.
- Some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate plus 1-year experience in a leadership position in Warehouse operations in production operations in a non-exempt, non-union workforce.
- Must have forklift certification and a clean driving record.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques is a plus.

- Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
