Summary


JOB DESCRIPTION WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

DESCRIPTION:
To maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse and to insure timely, accurate deliveries and pickups to customers and suppliers. Ensuring the highest Customer Service standards.
REPORTS TO:
Warehouse Manager
Duties
Warehouse:
Read, understand, and follow warehouse procedures
ENSURE THAT PICKING TICKETS ARE USED IN CHECKING OUT ALL MATERIALS AND TOOLS. ANY MATERIAL OR TOOL LEAVING THE WAREHOUSE WITHOUT A PICKING TICKET, FOR ANY REASON, IS CONSIDERED THEFT.
Prepare and accurately distribute materials to installers.
Unload material from incoming shipments, making note of any damage or shortages on freight bill.
Follow safety procedures in warehouse and forklift operations.
Receive and inspect material.
Keep warehouse in a clean and organized condition.
Maintain outside of the store. This includes the storage and protection of overstocked materials, as well as maintaining the appearance of the outside of the store.
Provide proper service to all customers and employees accurately loading the correct materials.
Do spot Inventory counts as needed.
Receive and document returned materials.
Create remnants and maintain the appearance of the remnant area.
Maintaining forklifts & company vehicles (monthly inspection reports) and reporting any wear or damage to Store Manager.
The first week of the month, inspect all company vehicles using Vehicle Check List and give to Store Manager.
Hang POP posters in showroom.
Any other duties the Warehouse Manager or Store Manager deems necessary.
Clean bathroom weekly
