The Vice President of Entertainment and Nightlife will support nightlife and other event initiatives for Hard Rock International. This leader will oversee the growth of entertainment properties in club spaces across multiple Hard Rock properties, with a heightened focus on developing strong entertainment programming at The Venue on Music Row at Hard Rock Hotel New York, while also spearheading oversight of every aspect of the operations including sales and marketing, production, food and beverage, guest list, and partner relations.
Responsibilities
- Develops innovative ideas and implements sound strategies and tactics to maximize Hard Rock's nightlife portfolios fullest potential to include, short and long-term plans in support of the overall objectives of the company.
- Develops and implements business plans for bars and nightclub areas in conjunction with beverage / nightlife consultants and business partners where require
- Cultivates, develops, and oversees relationships with consultants, content providers and promoters to maximize brand goals and revenues.
- Books talent for nightlife venues in conjunction with global entertainment team
- Assists with marketing and promotions for the locations at which programmed events are taking place.
- Develops sales and marketing goals and strategies, business positioning of the outlets and ensures alignment with the brand business strategy.
- Manages celebrity relations and supports heightened awareness of Hard Rock properties with notable, on-brand clientele
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit new team members.
- Facilitates external and internal stakeholder communications.
- Creates a work environment in nightlife venues that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in live entertainment, nightclub and venue management/talent buying/booking.
- Strong rolodex of content providers, publicists, celebrities, music artists, and tastemakers
- Able to make informed business decisions; remain result-oriented when tracking the linkage between marketing techniques and measurable financial results.
- Demonstrated business acumen including but not limited to analyzing business trends, short and long-term goal planning, budgeting, forecasting and implementing business and strategic plans.
- Previous experience of working with luxury food & beverage / nightlife external consultants / business partners.
- Excellent and efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, clients and vendors as necessary.
- Able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business level.
- Extensive experience in bar operations, preferable in a boutique or high-end bar or night club environment.
