About the Role:

Reporting the Chief People Officer, the Head of Compensation will serve as a trusted organizational leader responsible for the design of Confluent' 's compensation philosophy to effectively support a diverse, rapidly-growing global employee base.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and building our next-generation compensation programs (cash, bonus, equity, executive comp, etc.) and benefit programs that will take us through our next stage of growth and beyond. Additionally, you'll support the CPO with compensation and equity information for the Board of Directors, provide HR support for our employee stock program, oversee salary reviews, and partner with Sales Compensation.

What You Will Do:

+ Own and evolve our Global Compensation program targeted at retaining Confluent's competitive position and maximizing engagement and retention.

+ Create and drive strategy that supports a diverse workforce of top talent to help achieve growth strategies

+ Maintain a good pulse on market data and drive Best in Class programs to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace

+ Design and recommend global benefits programs by assessing Confluent's needs, reviewing competitor and general industry practices, and analyzing cost impact/effectiveness

+ Partner with the People Business Partner team and Talent Acquisition team to advise and influence business leaders in compensation strategy, programs, and issues, including equity practices

+ Partner closely with the Stock Administration team to oversee equity compensation programs; prepare annual budgets; perform standard analysis of equity plan health including burn rates, etc.

What You Will Bring:

+ 10+ years' experience in Compensation and Benefits, including Equity design, Compensation, and Executive Compensation in a global environment.

+ Created and managed innovative, compelling Compensation, Equity and Total Rewards programs in a fast-paced environment

+ Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations

+ Demonstrated history of taking a positive, constructive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges. Ability to gain alignment across multiple stakeholders through both diplomacy and influence

+ Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional partners and employees.

+ Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, collaboration, verbal communication, presentation, organization, decision-making and planning skills

This position has an annual estimated salary of $258,660 - $323,325, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
