This internship requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week for 12 weeks.
CLC is seeking an enthusiastic and competent Human Resources Intern to join our Human Resources Department. As an HR Intern, you will support our HR department with special projects and day-to-day operations, including benefits, employee communiation, recruitment, orientation and HRIS systems. You will also assist in devlopment of talent management (employee and volunteer) programs and present to HR Director and others
- Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all assigned projects
- Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents
- Proofread HR documents including internal communication documents and handbooks.
- Set up meetings
- Update e-Employee files
- Conduct Employee data updates and audits in HRIS System
- Prepare reports, including translating data to graphs and other graphics
- Coordinate candidate interview for selected clients
- Partner with Internship and DEi teams on projects
The goals of this internship are to:
- Develop and maintain HR Compliance Knowledge
- Develop a knowledge of current HR Laws and Regulations.
- Follow and become versed with new developments in the HR field.
- Develop a working knowledge of HRIS information databases and searchable resources.
- Follow and become versed with document retention requirements
- Pursue an Attitude of Learning and Development
- Cultivate interpersonal skills
- Foster time management skills
The expectations of this internship are to:
- Maintain a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external.
- Properly handle client requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation.
- Work proactively with other team members.
- Prioritize activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects.
- Handle client requests and deliver quality solutions if able, or escalate the request to a more senior team member
- Openly share new ideas and information with other team members.
- Keep other team members apprised to avoid surprises and disappointed clients.
