Ag Science Teacher (8th grade)

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Position will be teaching Principles of Agriculture (HS Credit) for 8th graders. Classroom based curriculum covering various aspects/components of agricultural production, animal husbandry, parliamentary procedures, and leadership/speaking skills. This position will include duties outside of the school day/year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, Voc Ag Production 6-12 or Ag, Food and Natural
Resources 6-12
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
