Crazy Shirts' mission is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on an endless vacation in everyday life. We are looking for a talented and creative Visual Merchandise Manager to lead the design and execution of displays for our retail stores as well as support corporate and other selling channel display needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Visual Merchandising, excellent design skills, and the ability to translate brand vision into compelling in-store and corporate displays. This role requires a blend of creativity, project management, and collaboration to enhance our brand presence and elevate the customer experience across various channels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Conceptualization:
Develop visually appealing and innovative merchandising concepts for retail store displays, ensuring they align with the brand image and product offerings.
Create engaging and cohesive designs for corporate events, trade shows, and other selling channels, incorporating marketing strategies and product highlights.
2. Execution and Implementation:
Oversee the execution of store displays, ensuring that designs are accurately translated from concept to reality.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to bring designs to life, managing the production and installation process for both store and corporate displays.
3. Material Expertise:
Demonstrate strong proficiency in working with a variety of materials, including but not limited to wood, metal, acrylic, fabric, and more.
Evaluate and select materials based on durability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness for each project.
4. Production and Prop Making:
Lead the production process, from prototyping to final execution, ensuring all elements are crafted to the highest standards.
Utilize a hands-on approach to prop making, demonstrating skill and creativity in transforming materials into eye-catching displays.
5. Brand Consistency:
Maintain brand consistency across all displays, ensuring that the brand message, colors, and visual elements are represented accurately.
Provide guidance and support to store teams and other selling channels to ensure consistent implementation of display guidelines.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the marketing team to integrate promotional campaigns, new product launches, and seasonal themes into Visual Merchandising designs.
Collaborate with corporate stakeholders and other selling channel partners to understand their display needs and create tailored solutions.
7. Budget Management:
Develop and manage budgets for Visual Merchandising projects, optimizing resources and costs while delivering high-quality displays.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective production and installation services.
8. Analysis and Improvement:
Analyze the effectiveness of displays in driving sales and customer engagement, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative display techniques to continuously enhance the Visual Merchandising strategy.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Direct visual presentation staff, coordinate input for merchandise and operational management, in order to successfully implement signage, point-of-sale and product promotions and visual maintenance in all stores.
Build and maintain planograms to support seasonal and advertising needs in order to further drive product sales volume and traffic into our member stores.
Apply data analytics to the planogram creation process (i.e. member point of sale data, warehouse sales data)
Complete competitor store merchandising audits as needed (i.e. competitor new store formation of categories/ merchandise by department).
Reviews product with Merchandising team and designs and implements windows
to visually support the product and company image for all stores and wholesale.
Maintains inventory of props, fixtures, signage, and company assets as it pertains to Visual Merchandising.
Plans and executes Visual Merchandise needs at it pertains to new store openings
Assists with plans and executes company marketing events and in-store shopping events
Formulates and manages budgets for all Visual Merchandising regions.
Ensures retail stores are complying with planograms and fixture moves.
Develop custom merchandise fixturing to accommodate needs of specialized presentation of volume merchandise.
Plans and executes special visual displays as requested to support Retail, Brand, Company Events, Corporate office, etc.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 4+ years VM management experience required.
Background in Graphic Design, 3-dimensional arts required.
3+ years of graphic design experience
Expert at using Adobe Creative suite Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
AA or BA Degree or equivalent experience desired
Strong computer software knowledge of the MS Office suite of products: Outlook, Word, Excel
Occasional travel to stores in Hawaii and Mainland as needed.
Equipment: light carpentry, sewing, illustrating, electrical, basic photography, composition and sign/graphic production preferred.
Experience with screw gun, staple gun, glue gun, jig saw, hammer, screwdrivers, and hand tools.
Drive company cargo and passenger van.
Able to prioritize heavy workload with multiple deadlines with minimum supervision.
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with flexible hours to complete necessary tasks.
Strong organizational and planning abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership ability: must be able to coordinate and delegate the allocation of work and manpower to accomplish tasks and deadlines
Must be able to react to situations requiring independent thinking and formulate actions.

Accurate and detailed oriented. Ability to use floor plans, plan-o-grams, and sales reports to communicate and plan.
Ability to meet timelines, deadlines, and maintain ongoing weekly schedule.
Physical & Environmental Job Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to use computer - e-mail, spreadsheets, Microsoft office, Photoshop.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
Ability to operate basic power tools.
Ability to travel and work a varied schedule including nights and weekends.
Ability to maintain a composed and somewhat professional demeanor within a flexible and Crazy work environment (Crazy Shirts Headquarters).
