Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Braille tutor to work with a High school student on a one-on-one basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Unified English Braille (UEB) and possess a valid Washington (WA) teaching license for braille instruction. This is a short-term position focused on providing personalized support to a High school student who requires specialized assistance in learning braille.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one braille instruction to a High school student.
- Develop personalized lesson plans based on the student's learning needs and goals.
- Create engaging and effective learning materials for braille instruction.
- Assess the student's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license for braille instruction in Washington (WA).
- Proficient in Unified English Braille (UEB).
- Experience working with High school students.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Duration:
This is a short-term contract position, until April 2024.
