Our Faurecia Clarion Electronics Business Group is looking for you as VIE Electrical Engineer in our plant in Northville, Michigan, USA. Your role and responsibilities The Electrical Engineer is responsible to develop automotive electronics, such as In-Vehicle Infotainment, driver displays, autonomous driving hardware, or interior monitoring. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with a global team with expertise in key areas, will be adept at quickly learning new skills in this area and can effectively communicate technical topics to engineering management and engineers skilled in this field.
She or he will work with the sales team to convey FCE technical expertise to customers, will and support product design reviews. Your main missions will be to: Working in a global cross functional team with product, sales, and engineering members. Work with global team members to modify / create technical presentations to internal teams and customers.
Propose, design, and develop adaptions to global platforms needed for NA market. Review technical portions of RFI's and RFQ's and provide effort estimates to add features and functionality to existing products or create new products. Support development of technical portions of presentations to customers.
Support development of demonstration properties as proof of concept (PoC) and/or for customer presentations. Demonstrate a willingness to work with and learn from experienced engineers involved in local product development. Communicate and work with software design team to ensure optimized product performance.
Communicate electrical hardware design to mechanical design team to ensure designs are optimized for thermal performance, EMC, and other environmental exposure. Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of Management The mission will last 18 months. Candidate profile Engineering Diploma in electrical engineering discipline, or related field.
2+ years' experience in design of automotive electronics. Experience with schematic capture tools. Familiarity with PCB layout tools, and experience reviewing board layouts.
Familiarity with chipset offerings from top suppliers in this field. Experience working with software teams to optimize hardware architecture for both cost and performance. Understanding of, or willingness to learn techniques of thermal environment and design optimization.
