Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is looking for an Emergency Department Manager to join our ER/Specialty team. The manager is fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, overseeing staff and providing our clients, patients, and the Pieper team with the resources needed to deliver outstanding care and customer service. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled veterinary technician, CVT or VTS preferred, with 3+ years' experience, preferably in a specialty/ER practice as this role requires clinical skills.

We are proud to be VECCS level I certified and have a team of over 45 doctors and 350 support staff across our locations.
At Pieper, we believe veterinary medicine is a team sport. We know the best way to care for our patients and clients is by working together and supporting each other. As emergency department manager, you will manage a group of 15 technicians and 20 assistants and work closely with the other Hospital Managers to provide the highest level of care and support to our patients. You will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling your team, as well as mentoring and developing personalized growth plans with each employee. The emergency department manager works closely with the Head of ER Services to develop workflow improvements to increase efficiency while managing high-quality care as well as resolving client concerns and managing the ER doctor's schedule. The manager reports to the Hospital Director and will work with them to develop operational and financial goals for their department.

Starting salary range is $80,000-$100,000 based on the level of experience, certifications, and education.
