Job Description Summary: Help us build Venmo Rewards! We're looking for a strategic thinker to come join our team and build a rewards program for our 90M+ consumers.We're looking for a world-class strategic thinker to join our team and help us build the future of Venmo Rewards. You will be working closely with leaders across Venmo to understand the nuances of our consumer-facing products, determine how rewards can help us deliver a more compelling product suite to our customers, and ultimately execute/build a more robust rewards platform.

Meet our team:

Venmo is a small yet mighty team at PayPal and we're excited to bring excellent people on board to help us build exciting new features and concepts for our nearly 90 million consumers. With this role, you'll be joining the Venmo Commercial Team. The Commercial Team is responsible for setting the priorities across the Venmo organization while seeking input from our various stakeholders. Further, the Commercial Team is ultimately accountable for our Profit & Loss statement - ensuring Venmo is meeting our business objectives.

Your way to impact/ your day-to-day:


Specifically, you will

A. Develop & deliver strategic concepts. After understanding the nuances of the Venmo consumer business, you will think through opportunities that will drive deeper engagement among our existing customer base while remaining net positive for the Venmo business. You will spearhead execution of these strategies with the help of a cross-functional team.

B. Build business cases, set thresholds, & analyze results. You will build detailed businesses cases for each of your projects and be responsible for promoting/ negotiating across a variety of business priorities. Once prioritized, you will track performance of the various concepts based on business case thresholds, and ultimately be accountable for delivering value to the business.

C. Work closely with a cross-functional team. You will have the opportunity to meet some of the smartest people working in fin tech today - your day-to-day will involve engaging with people in Venmo's Product, Marketing, and Risk organizations; learning from them and contributing to the dialogue.

D. Engage with Venmo and PayPal leadership. You will be responsible for sharing and presenting your concepts and achievements to leaders across the organization.

What you need to bring:

1. Strategic thinking - full of ideas on how we can build the Venmo of the future.

2. Analytical mind - a love of numbers. While this is not a data job, fluency in Excel, building business cases, and an ability to clearly communicate analytical trends to executives is critical.

3. Collaborative nature - willingness to work with teams to deliver against shared objectives.

4.Highly flexible, able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.

5. [Optional] Experience with Rewards - any experience building (or engaging with) a rewards concept would be great.
