Job description

Summary: Oversees the day to day operations for the Vendor Management and Business Continuity Planning programs.

This is a Hybrid Position in the Northern Virginia Area

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for managing the initial vendor due diligence evaluation, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure a complete and thorough review
  • Executes the day to day Vendor Management functions including the onboarding of new/potential vendors and maintenance of existing vendor records information within the Bank's Vendor Management platform (Tandem)
  • Coordinates with the Bank's vendors to request and obtain vendor information and documentation
  • Monitors and assists with the resolution of vendor due diligence exception items
  • Provides guidance to internal personnel regarding vendor management processes and procedures to ensure Bank's policies and guidelines are followed
  • Provides reporting on various KPI's to management on a periodic basis
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Bank's Business Continuity Plan keeping content and information relevant and accurate
  • Assist with the facilitation of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery tests and exercises
  • Communicates to management updates to regulatory guidance and industry best practices related to Vendor Management and Business Continuity Planning
  • Identifies ways to streamline and create more efficient Vendor Management and Business Continuity processes
  • Assists in the crafting of policy and procedures relating to both the Vendor Management and BC-DR programs.


Requirements

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or prior Banking experience
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to become proficient in Bank systems.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to follow up, demonstrate initiative and flexibility/adaptability under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through on work assignments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Friendly and approachable

Preferred Experience:
  • Background in Vendor Management and/or Business Continuity Planning
  • Experience with Vendor Management and Business Continuity Planning software/systems. Experience with the CoNetrix Tandem platform a plus
  • Proficiency in office productivity software such as G-Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, interfacing with auditors and examiners
